What it costs
Prices checked October 31, 2026, from Accredited Debt Relief’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.
- No upfront fee.
- Fees of 15% to 25% of enrolled debt, charged only after a debt is settled.
- Typical program length: 24 to 48 months.
- Minimum: about $5,000 of unsecured debt.
What we like
- No fee until a debt is settled.
- BBB A+ rating and accreditation.
- Trustpilot 4.8 from about 12,730 reviews.
- Member of the American Association for Debt Resolution.
What to watch for
- Settlement can badly damage your credit score.
- Creditors can sue while you are in the program.
- In 2022 the National Advertising Division recommended it stop claims such as cutting monthly payments in half.
- About 152 complaints in the federal consumer complaint database (as of May 2026).
The fine print
- Debt settlement usually means you stop paying your creditors while money builds up in a savings account. That can hurt your credit score badly, add late fees and collection calls, and lead to lawsuits, and some creditors refuse to settle. Fees typically run 15% to 25% of the debt you enroll. Under the Federal Trade Commission's Telemarketing Sales Rule, a debt relief company may not charge you until it has settled at least one debt, and forgiven debt may count as taxable income.
- Accredited Debt Relief is a brand of Beyond Finance, LLC, based in Chicago.
- Its contracts include arbitration terms; a 2026 New Jersey lawsuit against Beyond Finance was dismissed in June 2026 after a motion to compel arbitration.
- Legitimacy signals we found: it is a brand of Beyond Finance, LLC (Chicago); it says it has served more than 1.3 million clients over 15 years; the BBB rated it A+ with accreditation, and Trustpilot showed 4.8 out of 5 from about 12,730 reviews as of October 31, 2026; we found no federal or state enforcement action against it.
The main alternative: National Debt Relief
National Debt Relief is a large debt settlement company with a similar no-upfront-fee, performance-based fee model.
What it costs: No upfront fee; fees up to 25% of enrolled debt once debts settle (company figure)
Pick Accredited Debt Relief if you…
- have at least $5,000 of unsecured debt.
- want specialists certified by IAPDA.
- like its large number of reviews.
Pick National Debt Relief if you…
- want a company with a longer history.
- want a company operating since 2009, according to its site.
- want to compare a second quote.
Our take
Accredited Debt Relief is a large, well-reviewed debt settlement firm, but settlement is a last resort with real credit and legal costs; compare it with nonprofit credit counseling first.
