Apollo Review 2026: Pricing, Pros & Cons

Read this first: Apollo.io’s data breach and privacy settlement. In 2018 Apollo confirmed a data breach: attackers got into its prospect database of more than 200 million contact records (names, job titles, employers, email addresses, phone numbers and similar business details), and some data its customers had imported was also accessed. In 2024 Apollo (legal name Zenleads, Inc.) agreed to pay $870,660 to settle an Illinois class action that said it used Illinois residents' names and identities without consent to advertise its paid subscriptions; a Cook County court gave final approval on October 1, 2024. Data you buy from or upload to Apollo is only as safe as its security. Because of this record, Apollo is not an Our Pick. What to watch for

Trustpilot showed 3.1 out of 5 from 1,383 reviews as of October 29, 2026; complaints cite credits that don't roll over, billing and downgrade rules, and account suspensions.
In 2018 Apollo confirmed that its contacts database of more than 200 million records had been exposed and taken in a data breach.
In 2024 Apollo agreed to an $870,000 settlement of an Illinois class action alleging it used residents' personal data without consent.

Our take

Apollo puts a big contact database and outreach in one tool with a free plan. Its 2018 data breach and a 2024 privacy settlement are a trust problem for a data company, and outside reviews are mixed, so we don't make it an Our Pick. Woodpecker suits teams with their own lists.
