What it costs
Prices checked October 31, 2026, from Lemon Squeezy’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.
- 5% + 50¢ per transaction with no monthly fee; extra 1.5% on international cards and PayPal and 0.5% on subscriptions, per outside reviews (checked October 30, 2026).
- Acts as seller of record and handles sales tax and VAT; payouts twice a month.
What we like
- Handles global sales tax and VAT.
- No monthly fee.
- License keys and subscriptions built in.
- Backed by Stripe.
What to watch for
- Trustpilot 1.2 from 187.
- Slower support since the Stripe deal.
- Account reviews and payout holds reported.
- Higher fees than a plain processor.
The fine print
- In January 2026 its CEO said support had slowed and the goal is to move users to Stripe Managed Payments; plan for a possible migration.
The main alternative: Paddle
Paddle is a larger merchant of record.
What it costs: Per-transaction fee
Pick Lemon Squeezy if you…
- want a quick no-code checkout.
- sell small digital products.
- want built-in license keys.
Pick Paddle if you…
- want a long-term roadmap.
- sell at larger scale.
- want stronger support.
Our take
Lemon Squeezy still works and handles tax for digital sellers, but its Trustpilot record is poor and Stripe is steering users to a newer product; test onboarding and a payout before you rely on it.
