We researched Moby Tick Trading's official pricing, terms, product pages, help pages and outside reviews. We haven't used Moby Tick Trading ourselves, so this is a research-based review, not a hands-on test.

Who it’s best for

  • Active US stock traders who look for big institutional buying.
  • Swing traders who want a scanner for setups backed by large trades.
  • Traders who want ETF and seasonality data with their dark pool prints.

Who should skip it

  • Probably not the best fit for long-term index investors or beginners who want simple investing advice.

What it costs

Prices checked October 31, 2026, from Moby Tick Trading’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.

  • Essential: $199/year.
  • Remora: $399/year.
  • Shark: $799/year (marked most popular).
  • Top plan: $999/year.
  • Free weekly dark pool report by email.

What we like

  • Published yearly prices.
  • Covers 10,000+ US stocks with data back to 2020, according to the company.
  • Free weekly report lets you try the data first.
  • Eight tools, including a block trade indicator and print lookup.

What to watch for

  • Dark pool data shows what was traded, not why; big prints can be hedges.
  • No reviews on its Trustpilot page yet (checked October 31, 2026).
  • Yearly billing only on the plans we saw.
  • Small company with a short public track record.

The fine print

  • Trading is risky and you can lose money, including more than you expect on leveraged products. Marketing results are often self-reported and are not an independently verified track record. Past results do not guarantee future results, and nothing here is financial advice. Large trades by institutions do not reliably predict where a stock will go.
  • Its terms say the data is for informational purposes only and is not investment advice.
  • Legitimacy signals we found: its terms say the site is run by Remora Services dba Moby Tick Trading, and its About page names founder Dave Barnhart; it has a Trustpilot page claimed in October 2025 with no reviews as of October 31, 2026; it runs a public blog and social accounts.

The main alternative: TrendSpider

TrendSpider is a charting and backtesting platform for active traders, with automated trendlines and scanners.

What it costs: Standard $89/mo monthly (regular price), checked October 29, 2026

Pick Moby Tick Trading if you…

  • trade US stocks and want to see big institutional trades.
  • want a yearly plan.
  • like scanning for setups.

Pick TrendSpider if you…

  • want automated charting and backtesting.
  • trade more than US stocks.
  • prefer monthly billing.

Our take

Moby Tick Trading packages dark pool and block trade data in a way retail traders can use, at published yearly prices; it is a research tool, not a path to guaranteed profits.
