• Recent Theme Store reviews praise fast support replies.

What to watch for

• Trustpilot showed 1.5 out of 5 as of October 30, 2026, 29 reviews.
• Several Trustpilot reviewers (2025) say Pixel Union and its Out of the Sandbox brand sent automated copyright (DMCA) takedowns against stores that had bought themes legitimately, taking stores offline until resolved.
• Empire, its biggest seller, is 79% positive on the Theme Store (485 reviews, 79 negative); Startup is 83% (103).
• Support does not cover customizations; reviewers say font and layout changes beyond the editor need a paid developer.

The fine print
