What it is

AI humanizer that rewrites AI-generated text to read more naturally, with a built-in AI detector

How it works

Paste an AI-assisted draft, pick a model and a rewrite level from 1 (light) to 10 (heavy), and get a rewrite in seconds. Click any sentence to swap in an alternative, then use the detector to see which sentences still read as machine-written.

Seen on StealthWriter’s own product pages, help center and documentation, read November 1, 2026 (listed under Sources). We haven’t used StealthWriter ourselves.

Key features

  • Humanizer with rewrite levels 1 to 10
  • Ghost 5.2 Mini (free) and Ghost 5.2 Pro and Legacy models (paid)
  • AI detector (V1 and V2) with sentence highlights
  • Click-to-swap alternative sentences
  • Up to 5,000 words per input on paid plans
  • Billing page with invoices and plan changes

Setup & learning curve

Sign up with email or Google; nothing to install. The free plan starts right away.

Integrations

None listed; it is a web app you paste text into.

Support

Contact form, email and a US phone line on weekdays (Mountain Time); reviewers report slow or missing replies.

Real-world use cases

  • Making AI-drafted blog posts read less robotic
  • Smoothing AI-written product or email copy
  • Checking a draft with an AI detector before editing
  • Getting alternative phrasings for stiff sentences

What it costs

Free; Starter $20/mo, checked November 1, 2026

Prices checked November 1, 2026, from StealthWriter’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.

  • Free: 10 humanizations and 10 AI scans a day, up to 1,000 words per input, Ghost 5.2 Mini model only.
  • Starter: $20 a month for 50 humanizations and 50 scans a day, up to 5,000 words per input, with the Pro and Legacy models.
  • Plus: $50 a month for 150 a day; Pro: $100 a month for 350 a day.
  • Business: $200 a month for 800 a day; Scale: $400 a month for 2,000 a day; custom Enterprise pricing on request.
  • Yearly billing saves about 17%; plans renew automatically; prices in USD (official pricing, checked October 31, 2026).

What we like

  • A real free plan: 10 rewrites and 10 detector scans a day with no card.
  • Rewrite strength runs from light to heavy, and you can click any sentence to pick another version.
  • Built-in AI detector with sentence highlights, to check a draft before and after a rewrite.
  • Clear published limits for every plan, in USD.

What to watch out for

  • Trustpilot shows 1.7 out of 5 from 27 reviews (89% one-star), with complaints about cancelling, charges after cancelling and unanswered support (checked October 31, 2026).
  • Refunds only within 24 hours of a payment and only if you have not used the account.
  • Results vary a lot by setting: outside tests found the free default model was still flagged as AI, and detectors keep changing.
  • Its own detector score is not proof of anything; other detectors and human reviewers can judge the same text differently.

The fine print

  • The Acceptable Use Policy bans using it to bypass AI-detection, plagiarism, academic or workplace review, or to present AI-assisted text as solely human-written when that would mislead.
  • StealthWriter says it makes no claim about how third-party detectors will classify rewritten text.
  • Plans renew automatically; cancel from account settings before the renewal date, as forgotten renewals are not refunded.
  • It says text you submit is not stored after processing and is not used for training.
  • Accounts are for one person; it watches for account sharing and can close shared accounts.
  • Legitimacy signals we found: an About page naming AiVantage LLC (Sheridan, Wyoming) and an owner, published terms and policies updated in 2026, a public changelog, and a US support phone line; its Trustpilot profile is unclaimed.

Who it’s best for

Marketers polishing AI-assisted drafts (see our warning).

  • Marketers and copywriters who draft with AI and want the wording to sound less robotic.
  • Writers who want sentence-by-sentence alternatives for stiff AI phrasing.

Who should skip it

  • Not for students: using it to hide AI use in schoolwork can break academic-integrity rules, and its own terms forbid that.
  • Probably not the best fit if you need dependable support or an easy way to cancel, based on its customer reviews.

The main alternative

Pick StealthWriter if you…

  • want heavy rewrites of AI-written text for marketing copy.
  • want an AI detector score in the same tool.
  • are fine with its refund and cancel limits.

Pick QuillBot if you…

  • want a general paraphraser and grammar checker.
  • want a larger, longer-running company behind it.
  • want a lower monthly price.

Our take

StealthWriter can make AI-assisted marketing drafts read more naturally, but it is widely used to dodge AI detectors and its customer reviews are poor, so stick to the free plan, follow your school or work rules, and only pay if you are sure you can live with its 24-hour refund window.
