Official Review: Transcript LOLChecked by Vetteroo

What it is

AI transcription for audio and video files with speaker labels, summaries and an unlimited plan

How it works

Upload a file or paste a link from YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox or Zoom, and the transcript comes back with speakers labeled. Edit it, ask for a summary or run a custom prompt, then export to a document or subtitle file.

Seen on Transcript LOL’s own product pages, help center and documentation, read November 1, 2026 (listed under Sources). We haven’t used Transcript LOL ourselves.

What it costs

Free; Unlimited $10/mo billed yearly ($120), checked November 1, 2026

Prices checked November 1, 2026, from Transcript LOL’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.

  • Free: 2 transcripts a day, up to 20 minutes each, one file at a time, low priority.
  • Unlimited: $120 a year (works out to $10 a month); monthly billing costs more, since the site says yearly saves 50%.
  • Unlimited includes uploads up to 10 hours or 5 GB each, 10 files at a time, summaries, custom prompts and a chatbot, and high priority.
  • Team seats are sold as an add-on per seat per month; top-up credits are also sold.
  • Prices in USD; no contract, cancel any time (official pricing page, checked November 1, 2026).

What we like

  • Flat yearly price for unlimited transcription, about $10 a month.
  • A usable free plan: two files a day up to 20 minutes each.
  • Handles files up to 10 hours long and many audio and video formats.
  • Speaker detection, an editor with find and replace, and exports to TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT and VTT.
  • Imports from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, YouTube, Zoom, WhatsApp, Telegram and more, plus Zapier and an API.

What to watch out for

  • Outside reviews mention mislabeled speakers and missed technical or mixed-language terms.
  • Some earlier lifetime-deal buyers complain that limits and features changed after purchase.
  • The refund window is narrow: within 7 days and under 100 minutes and half the allowance used.
  • No refunds for transcription accuracy.

The fine print

  • Unlimited means no cap for non-automated use; you cannot share your login with others.
  • Refunds need all three: under 100 minutes used, under 50% of the allowance used, and a request within 7 days of payment; processing fees are not refunded.
  • Its privacy policy says it does not sell personal information and covers GDPR rights.
  • The service is run by Omnivision Solutions Ltd and has operated since 2023.
  • Legitimacy signals we found: published terms, refund, privacy and security policies, a public status page, a 4.4 to 4.5 average on AppSumo and Product Hunt with some sharp complaints.

Who it’s best for

People who transcribe a lot of recordings and want a flat price.

  • Podcasters, researchers, journalists and marketers who transcribe many hours a month.
  • Students and teams who want summaries and Q&A on long recordings.
  • People who want to try transcription free before paying.

Who should skip it

  • Not for anyone who needs a guaranteed-accurate legal or medical transcript; AI accuracy is not refunded.
  • Not for sharing one login across a team; that breaks its unlimited-use rule.

Our take

Transcript LOL is a strong value if you transcribe a lot, with a flat $120-a-year unlimited plan and a free daily allowance, but test accuracy on your own recordings first because refunds are tight and accuracy is not covered.
