accessiBe Review 2026: Pricing, Pros & Cons

Read this first: the FTC order against accessiBe. In January 2025 accessiBe agreed to pay $1 million to settle US Federal Trade Commission charges. The FTC said accessiBe claimed its AI widget, accessWidget, could make any website compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) when it did not, and that it formatted third-party articles and reviews to look like independent opinions while hiding its paid connections to the reviewers. The FTC made the order final on April 22, 2025; it bars accessiBe from making those compliance claims without evidence and from passing off connected reviews as independent. An overlay widget on its own does not make a site accessible or legally compliant. Because of this record, accessiBe is not an Our Pick. Who should skip it

Probably not the best fit if you want a widget to make your site legally compliant on its own; no widget can promise that.

What to watch for

Trustpilot showed 2.4 out of 5 from 249 reviews as of October 29, 2026.
In 2025 the US Federal Trade Commission ordered accessiBe to pay $1 million over claims that its AI widget could make any website compliant with accessibility guidelines, and over reviews that did not disclose paid connections.
A widget does not fix the underlying code of a site.

The fine print

Pricing is by monthly visits; traffic growth moves you up a tier.
Monthly billing costs more than yearly.
Under the FTC order it can't claim compliance it can't back up.

accessiBe has published prices, a free scan and expert audits, but a 2025 FTC order over its compliance claims and undisclosed review ties is a serious trust issue, and its outside rating is low. We don't make it an Our Pick. UserWay covers more traffic for the same entry price.
