We researched CallHippo's official pricing, plan terms, product pages, help documentation and Trustpilot profile. We haven't used CallHippo ourselves, so this is a research-based review, not a hands-on test.

Who it’s best for

  • Small sales and support teams that make a lot of calls.
  • Businesses that want local numbers in several countries.
  • Teams that want to try a phone system free before paying.

Who should skip it

  • Probably not the best fit if you mainly want calling and texting from one app at the lowest price, where Quo starts lower.

How it works day to day

This part draws on CallHippo’s own product pages, help center and documentation, read October 29, 2026 (listed under Sources). We haven’t used CallHippo ourselves.

Day to day, your team makes and takes calls in a web, desktop or mobile app, with call logs, recordings and notes in one place.

Key features in use

  • Virtual numbers in many countries.
  • Call recording and call logs.
  • IVR menus and call routing.
  • Optional AI voice agent and AI Copilot.

Setup and learning curve

Sign up for the trial, pick a number and invite your team; most setup is in the web dashboard.

Integrations

Its pricing page lists CRM and helpdesk integrations on higher plans.

Support

Support options are listed on its site, with more help on higher plans.

Real-world use cases

  • A sales team calls leads from a browser.
  • A support desk routes calls through a phone menu.
  • A startup adds a number in a second country.

What it costs

Prices checked October 29, 2026, from CallHippo’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.

  • Starter: $19 per user a month billed yearly, or $25 monthly.
  • Professional: $30 per user a month billed yearly, or $40 monthly.
  • Ultimate: $42 per user a month billed yearly, or $55 monthly. Yearly billing saves about three months' cost.
  • A free Basic plan is offered for the first 6 months only; after that you must move to a paid plan.
  • Add-ons include an AI voice agent ($45 per user a month), AI Copilot ($10 per user a month), SMS from $3 a month and caller ID name (CNAM) at $100 one-time.

What we like

  • A 10-day free trial with no card needed.
  • Three clear plans, each cheaper on yearly billing.
  • Many add-ons, from AI call help to SMS, so you pay only for what you use.
  • Numbers available in many countries.

What to watch for

  • Trustpilot showed 2.8 out of 5 from 688 reviews as of October 29, 2026.
  • "Unlimited" minutes cover US and Canada calls only, under a fair-use policy.
  • Add-ons such as SMS and AI features cost extra on top of each seat.

The fine print

  • Fair use: no more than 10 calls an hour to the same number, and usage that looks like a call center can be moved to different pricing.
  • The free Basic plan ends after 6 months.
  • Caller ID name (CNAM) is a $100 one-time charge.

Our take

CallHippo suits small calling teams that want a cloud phone system they can trial for free, with add-ons when they need them. Watch the fair-use rules and the low Trustpilot score. If you mainly call and text in the US, compare Quo first.
