We researched Claap's official pricing, plan terms, product pages, help documentation and Trustpilot profile. We haven't used Claap ourselves, so this is a research-based review, not a hands-on test.

Who it’s best for

  • Teams that mix screen recordings with meeting notes.
  • Companies where only a few people record, so most seats are free.
  • Sales and product teams that review calls together.

Who should skip it

  • Probably not the best fit if you only want AI meeting notes on a budget, where tl;dv's Pro plan costs less.

How it works day to day

This part draws on Claap’s own product pages, help center and documentation, read October 29, 2026 (listed under Sources). We haven’t used Claap ourselves.

Day to day, you record your screen or meetings, Claap transcribes them, and teammates comment on the video.

Key features in use

  • Chrome screen recorder.
  • Meeting recording and AI notes.
  • Comments and threads on videos.
  • Admin controls for sharing.

Setup and learning curve

Install the Chrome extension, connect your calendar and invite your team.

Integrations

Works with common call apps and work tools, per its site.

Support

Help center and sales contact are listed on its site.

Real-world use cases

  • A product team records a feature walkthrough.
  • A sales manager reviews call highlights.
  • A remote team replaces a meeting with a video.

What it costs

Prices checked October 29, 2026, from Claap’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.

  • Basic: free, with 10 recordings per user and 300 transcription minutes in total.
  • Pro: $32 per license a month billed yearly, or $40 monthly, with 1,000 minutes a month.
  • Business: $60 per license a month billed yearly, or $75 monthly, with unlimited minutes.
  • You pay only for people who record; others can use free Basic licenses in the same workspace. Yearly billing is 20% less.

What we like

  • Free Basic licenses for people who only watch or comment.
  • Screen recording and meeting notes in one tool.
  • Unused paid licenses can be moved to another member.
  • 20% off with yearly billing.

What to watch for

  • We found no usable Trustpilot score: one review as of October 29, 2026.
  • Paid plans cost more than some note-only tools.
  • A paid-plan trial needs a request to sales.

The fine print

  • The free plan has a 300-minute total transcription limit.
  • Removing a member doesn't refund the license; it can be reassigned until the next billing cycle.
  • Prices are per recording license.

The main alternative: tl;dv

What it costs: Free; Pro $18/seat/mo yearly, checked October 29, 2026

Pick Claap Reviewed by Vetteroo if you…

  • record screen videos and meetings.
  • have many viewers and few recorders.
  • want team video threads.

Pick tl;dv if you…

  • mainly want meeting notes.
  • want a lower paid price.

Our take

Claap suits teams that want screen recordings and AI meeting notes together, paying only for people who record. It costs more than note-only tools, and outside reviews are scarce. Compare tl;dv for notes alone.
