What we like
- Adds a store to WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and other sites.
- No Ecwid transaction fees.
- Sell on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and marketplaces from one place.
- Works with over 70 payment providers.
- Low-cost Starter plan.
What to watch for
- Starter has few features, so most stores will want Venture or higher.
- Fewer apps and themes than the biggest platforms.
- Payment processors still charge their own fees.
The fine print
- Annual prices are billed for the year.
- Card processing fees come from your payment provider.
- Some features, like subscriptions, need Lightspeed Payments or Stripe.
The main alternative: Shopify
Shopify is the main alternative. It is a full store platform with a large app and theme market, built for stores that want to grow big.
What it costs: $29/mo billed yearly, $39 monthly (Basic), checked October 26, 2026
