What it costs
Prices checked October 31, 2026, from eharmony’s own pricing page unless noted. Prices change often, so check the official page before you buy.
- Free Basic account to build a profile and see matches. Paid Premium plans (Light, Plus and Unlimited) are sold on 6-, 12- and 24-month terms; a Groupon guide from January 2026 lists about $59–$69 a month on 6 months, $38–$50 a month on 12 months and $29–$33 a month on 24 months, billed for the whole term up front (checked October 30, 2026).
- Plans renew automatically, by default for further 12-month terms, unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the term ends, per its US terms. App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded and cancelled through Apple or Google.
What we like
- Detailed compatibility questionnaire.
- Free Basic tier to look around first.
- Long track record (since 2000).
- The App Store showed 4.06 out of 5 from 49,598 ratings as of October 30, 2026.
What to watch for
- Trustpilot shows 2.9 from 4,465 reviews, with many billing and renewal complaints.
- Only 6- to 24-month plans; billed up front.
- Auto-renews for a new 12-month term by default.
- Australia's Federal Court found against eharmony over how it presented auto-renewing plans and pricing.
The fine print
- You must be 18 or older to join.
- Turn off auto-renewal in your account at least 24 hours before the term ends.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto to anyone you meet online.
The main alternative: Match Checked by Vetteroo
Match is a big, long-running dating site with shorter plans.
What it costs: Paid from about $21.84/mo on 12 months, checked October 30, 2026
Pick eharmony if you…
- want a serious relationship focus.
- like detailed matching.
- will commit for 6 months or more.
Pick Match if you…
- want shorter plans.
- want to search members yourself.
- want a bigger pool.
Our take
eharmony is a well-known choice for people who want a serious relationship, but plans run 6 to 24 months, are billed up front and renew for another year unless you switch renewal off, so set a reminder the day you join.
