The fine print

• NHTSA has said aftermarket LED bulbs put into headlamps built for halogen bulbs are not compliant with federal headlamp rules (FMVSS 108), and some states, such as Virginia and Maryland, prohibit bulb-only conversions. Whether your installation is legal depends on state law. Fog, interior and off-road lights are a separate question; check the product's legal notes and aim lights properly.
