What we like

- Tax reports on paid plans.
- SOC 2 certified, by its own account.
What to watch for
- Trustpilot showed 3.8 out of 5 from about 620 reviews as of October 28, 2026.
- Holding limits push active investors to paid plans quickly.
- Multiple portfolios need Standard or higher.
The fine print
- Sharesight is a tracker, not a broker; it does not hold your money or place trades.
- Monthly billing costs about a third more than yearly.
- The free plan has no tax reports.
The main alternative: Empower Reviewed by Vetteroo
Empower has a free dashboard for net worth, investments and fees. It also sells paid wealth management, and free users may be contacted about it.

Our take
Sharesight is a strong tracker for investors who care about true returns, dividends and tax reports, and its free plan is enough to try it. Outside reviews are middling. If you only want a free overview, Empower may do.
