We researched Nifty's official pricing and terms, plus independent reviews and customer feedback. We haven't used Nifty ourselves, so this is a research-based review, not a hands-on test.
Who it’s best for
- Agencies and freelancers who want projects, client portals, docs, chat and time tracking together.
- Teams that prefer one flat price instead of paying per seat.
Who should skip it
- Probably not the best fit if you need hundreds of integrations.
How it works day to day
This part draws on Nifty’s own product pages, help center and documentation, read October 26, 2026 (listed under Sources). We haven’t used Nifty ourselves.
Nifty puts each project's roadmap, tasks, docs, files and discussion in one place. Teams plan work as milestones on a roadmap (a Gantt-style timeline), break milestones into tasks, and talk in project discussions or team chat instead of separate apps. Clients can be invited into a project with controlled visibility, so they see progress, approve work and message the team without seeing internal tasks.
Key features in use
- Roadmaps with milestones that show progress across a project.
- Tasks in list, board and timeline views.
- Docs and files inside each project, with native Google Docs sync.
- Built-in chat, discussions and video calls.
- Time tracking, including billable time, with reports and exports by project, person or workspace.
- Client portals with controlled visibility and approvals.
- Forms for intake and requests.
Setup and learning curve
Teams coming from separate chat, docs and task tools usually start by setting up one project and moving its tasks and files over. Nifty's help center documents each part: setup, tasks, roadmaps, chat, files, forms and access.
Integrations
Nifty has native integrations with Google Drive and Calendar, Slack, GitHub, Zoom, Webex, Miro, Typeform and Harvest, and connects to more apps through Zapier.
Support
Nifty keeps a help center with articles covering setup, integrations and each feature.
Real-world use cases
- A marketing agency gives each client a portal to follow progress and approve deliverables.
- A freelancer tracks billable time per project and exports it for invoicing.
- A small team replaces separate chat, docs and task apps with one workspace.
What it costs

What we like
- Flat team pricing can be cheaper than per-seat tools.
- Unlimited guests and clients on paid plans.
- G2 showed 4.7 out of 5 from about 440 reviews as of October 25, 2026.
- A free plan for testing.
What to watch for
- A smaller company with fewer integrations than ClickUp or monday.com.
- The free plan allows only 2 active projects.
The fine print
- Member limits are per plan; going over means moving up a plan.
The main alternative: ClickUp
ClickUp puts tasks, docs, goals and chat in one app, with a generous free plan. It has so many features that it can feel overwhelming, and some reviews mention slowness.
What it costs: $9/user/mo (Core) billed yearly, checked October 26, 2026
Pick Nifty if you…
- run client projects and want portals and chat included.
- have around 5 to 30 people and want one flat price.
Pick ClickUp if you…
- want a generous free plan and the lowest per-user price.
- want the most features and integrations.
Our take
Nifty is a tidy all-in-one for agencies and client work, and flat pricing helps mid-sized teams. ClickUp is cheaper for very small teams and has more integrations.
