Email Marketing Software Prices Compared: 13 Tools Side by Side

Every price from each company’s own pricing page, with the date we checked it.

We check it out so you don’t have to.

How we researched this page: we read each company’s own pricing pages and terms, independent tests, and customer reviews. We did not use these products ourselves. Prices change often, so each one shows the date we checked it.

Email tools price by list size, emails sent, or both, so the “from” price only tells part of the story. This page lines up the 13 email marketing and newsletter tools we have reviewed by their free plan, their cheapest paid plan, and what makes the price go up.

Rows are ordered by the lowest paid price we found. Prices are in US dollars before tax, for the smallest paid tier, as shown on each company’s own pricing page on the date listed. Most tools charge more as your list grows, so price your real list size before you pick.

How email marketing prices work

Most tools here charge by the number of contacts or subscribers on your list. Brevo is the main exception: it charges by emails sent, which can suit a large list you only email now and then. SendX and Flodesk charge by list size but don’t cap how many emails you send.

Which ones to look at

  • Biggest free plan: Kit (up to 10,000 subscribers), then EmailOctopus and beehiiv (2,500 each).
  • Cheapest paid start: Moosend ($7/mo billed yearly at 500 contacts), Brevo ($8.08/mo billed yearly) and EmailOctopus (from $9/mo billed yearly).
  • Longest no-card trial: Moosend, at 30 days.
  • Online stores: Omnisend, with email and SMS built for ecommerce.
  • Newsletters that earn money: beehiiv takes 0% of paid subscription revenue (Stripe still charges its usual fee).
